Alongside the Manufuture conference, we offered visits of the Goodyear Innovation Center and Fanuc’s industrial sites as well as a City Tour. FANUC’S TOUR Where: Zone Industrielle, L-6468 Echternach When: 24 November. From 1.30 pm to 18.00-18.30 pm Who: 50 participants Description Fanuc has been the world leader in factory automation for 60 years and has been at the forefront of innovation across a whole range of industries. During the visit to FANUC Europe’s site in Echternach, the participants were invited to take part in a full tour, including a demonstration of their range of products, a visit to the newly built repair centre, as well as an official company presentation by Olaf Gehrels (President of FANUC Europe Corporation). GOODYEAR’S TOUR Where: Goodyear Innovation Center Luxembourg - Avenue G.T. Smith - L-7750 COLMAR-BERG When: 23 November. From 1.30 pm to 17.30-18.00 pm Who: 50 participants Description Good year is one of the worlds leading tire manufacturers. Upon their arrival, participants were given a quick introduction in front of Goodyear’s site where they may have their picture taken. After a short health and safety briefing, they were then split into three groups where they were given a full tour of the site, including the design studio, the material lab and the mold and tire prototype manufacturing lab. CITY TOUR Where: Luxembourg’s city center When: 24 November. From 10.45 am to 12.45 am Who: the city tour was dedicated to accompanying persons. Description Guests participated in a guided tour of Luxembourg’s city. Participants were picked-up at the European Convention Center and driven to the city center. The tour then continued by foot and included Luxembourg’s best places to visit.
